Good News Ministries (GNM) was founded in 1978 under the Baptist Mid-Missions. Inspiration for such a venture came from the late Pandit M. M. John, a scholar and educator from Kerala, India.

The offices of GNM are located 1.6 km for Ulloor, in the city of Trivandrum, the capital of the state of Kerala and has a population of about 1,000,000. Kerala has a population of approximately 30 Million and is situated on the south west coast of India. It is bordered on the north by the state of Karnataka, on the east by the state of Tamilnadu, and on the south and west by the Arabian Sea. It covers an area of 38,864 sq. km. It is commonly known as the evergreen state as it is covered with tall green coconut palm trees. The name Kerala is from the malayalam word ‘kera’ which means coconut. The average temperature in the coastal area is 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
